‘My friend Belinda is everything I’m not. She says exactly what she thinks and feels, which I find admirable and amazing. I live vicariously through her because she comes out with things that would literally have me hiding under a duvet for a month.’ PAULA YATES * Belinda Brewin has experienced more in her life so far than most people ever will. Best known for being a friend and confidante to Paula Yates, she stood by Paula through the most turbulent times of her life. Yet Belinda’s dramatic and colourful story involves so much more. As a young woman she stayed at George Harrison’s house and was a guest at Ringo Starr’s wedding. She has lived in LA, owned a hotel on London’s King’s Road and was at the centre of a drugs scandal when she was arrested whilst in possession of half a million pounds worth of cocaine. Her family history includes shipping magnates, an eminent archaeologist and Lady Catherine Walston, who had a romance with novelist Graham Greene, famously documented in The End of the Affair. More recently, Belinda hit the headlines once more as her boss and members of his family mysteriously disappeared. In a chilling revelation, the murderer buried the bodies in Belinda’s garden, subsequently moving them before they were discovered by the police.
