Every day, whether shopping for simple necessities or luxury items, our consumer choices affect the environment. Yet most of us are unaware of the positive influence we can exert through our spending power. The Green Consumer Guide is unique in bringing together, in one easy-to-use handbook, the vital facts on a wide range of products. Wherever you shop, it will tell you which products to avoid and direct you to attractive, cost competitive and easily available alternatives. It identifies: - the least harmful batteries and longest lasting lightbulbs - aerosol sprays that don’t destroy the ozone layer - O.I.Y. wood products that don’t contribute to rainforest destruction - fuel-efficient cars and those that run on unleaded petrol - holidays that ensure the landscapes and wildlife you travel to see don’t only live on in your photo album Written by experts, The Green Consumer Guide gives you the chance to vote every day for the environment.
