Pre-Intermediate Matters, Intermediate Matters and Upper Intermediate Matters form an integrated three-part course for learners of English. Pre-Intermediate Matters is aimed specifically at pre-intermediate level learners and provides approximately 90-120 hours of classroom material. It is divided into 20 units which present and practise language through a range of stimulating topics and activities. Pre-Intermediate Matters motivates students: • Lively texts and communicative activities engage students' interest. • 'Use your English' sections develop confidence in using • everyday English. • Regular 'Use and review' sections ensure faster progress through active revision of grammar and vocabulary. Pre-Intermediate Matters is flexible and easy to use: • Each unit is organised into clearly labelled sections for fast and efficient lesson planning. • The different sections - Use your English, Skills, Grammar, Vocabulary and Use and review - can be used separately or worked through in order depending on the needs of the class. • Key language is made easier to understand through helpful diagrams, 'grammar boxes' and the Language reference summary at the end of each unit. Pre-Intermediate Matters provides teachers with new ideas: • In addition to step-by-step notes on how to exploit each unit, the Teacher's Book contains many extra activities and ideas that are guaranteed to make learning English interesting and enjoyable.
